Interval Timer Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Interval Timer is a free iOS app developed by Chris (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

• Timer configurations (workout blocks, durations, custom colors, images)
• Session history (start/end times, blocks completed, duration)
• Daily activity data (session counts, training minutes)
• Achievement progress
• App preferences (sound, haptics, theme, countdown sound)

This data is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework and never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share a timer.

Data Collected When You Use Sharing Features (Optional)

If you choose to sign in with Apple and share timers:

• Apple User ID (a unique, anonymous identifier provided by Apple — not your real Apple ID)
• Display name (only if you choose to share it during Sign in with Apple)
• Email (only if you choose to share it; we do not require it)
• Shared timer data (title, blocks, settings) uploaded to our servers
• Images you attach to timers or blocks (cover photos, block images) uploaded to our servers
• Ratings and reviews you submit on community timers

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Location data
• Health or fitness data
• Contacts or phone data
• Advertising identifiers
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Crash reports (beyond what Apple collects by default)

3. How We Use Your Data

• Local data is used solely to provide app functionality
• Account data (Sign in with Apple) is used only to authenticate sharing features
• Shared timer data and associated images are stored on our servers to enable the community browse feature
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties
• We do not use your data for advertising or profiling

4. Data Storage and Security

• Local data is stored on your device using Apple's encrypted storage
• Server data is stored on secured servers with encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
• Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain
• We retain account data only as long as your account is active

5. Third-Party Services

• Apple Sign In: Subject to Apple's privacy policy
• We do not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs

6. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require an account to use its core features.

7. Your Rights

• You can use the app without creating an account or sharing any data
• You can delete your shared timers at any time from the app's Settings
• You can sign out to disconnect your Apple ID from our service
• You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us
• All local data can be removed by deleting the app

8. Data Deletion

To delete your data:

• Local data: Delete the app from your device
• Shared timers and images: Unshare from the Timers tab or delete from Settings > Account & Sharing in the app
• Full account deletion: Contact us at privacy@devchris.net

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or on this page.
