How do I remove a habit?
Long-press its card on Today and choose Archive, or open the habit (long-press › Edit) and tap “Archive habit”. It leaves your daily list but keeps all its history. You can restore it — or delete it permanently — under Settings › Archived.
Why is my fire only glowing embers?
Your companion follows your last 7 days: the share of scheduled rituals you actually kept. Six stages — embers under 20%, kindling from 20%, a steady flame from 40%, campfire from 60%, blaze from 80%, and radiant at 95%+ (the bonsai goes from bare branches to full bloom on the same scale). A day you haven’t finished yet never counts against you.
I missed a day — is my streak gone?
Only if it was a scheduled day. Rest days (days a habit isn’t scheduled) are skipped, not broken. And an unfinished today never breaks yesterday’s streak — you have until midnight.
Can I have something calmer than a fire?
Yes — Settings › Your companion lets Hearth Plus members swap the fire for a bonsai, a paper lantern, a lotus, a koi pond, or a warrior whose aura builds from stillness to pure instinct. Each grows through the same six stages as your consistency grows.
Why does the app look different at night?
Hearth changes its theme with the time of day: morning, midday, evening, night. You can pin one theme permanently in Settings › Appearance (Hearth Plus).
I bought Hearth Plus but it isn’t unlocked.
Open Settings in the app and tap “Restore purchases”. Make sure you’re signed into the same Apple ID that made the purchase. If it still doesn’t work, email us with your Apple purchase receipt.
How do I cancel the subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Hearth Plus › Cancel. You keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for. The Lifetime purchase never renews.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the Hearth Plus purchase.
Is my data backed up? Does it sync between devices?
Hearth stores everything on your device only (it’s included in your normal iPhone backup). There is no account and no cloud sync yet. Deleting the app deletes your data.
Reminders aren’t showing up.
Check iPhone Settings › Notifications › Hearth and make sure notifications are allowed. Then confirm the habit has “Remind me” turned on and is scheduled for today’s weekday.
Which languages does Hearth speak?
English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Dutch — switch instantly in Settings › Language.
